Eid Get Together at Pakistan House, Wellington

Her Excellency Ms Zehra Akbari, High Commissioner for Pakistan, hosted an Open House on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul Fitr on 9 August 2013 at the Pakistan House, for the Pakistanis and Muslim community living in Wellington and the adjoining areas. Around 200 people of different nationalities attended the reception. Members of diplomatic community and a large number of Pakistani origin New Zealanders attended the event.  Students from Wellington, Palmerston North and adjoining areas also came to the Eid gathering along with their families.

In the true spirit of Eid-ul Fitr the guests interacted and  exchanged greetings to celebrate the most auspicious occasion of the Islamic Calendar.

Wellington
