The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has informed that a limited number of seats are available for admissions in Public Sector Universities/ Institutions of Pakistan in the disciplines of Medicine (MBBS), Dentistry (BDS) for foreign nationals as well as Pakistan Origin dual nationality holders for the Academic Session 2018-19 under Self Scheme (SFS).
The main purpose of the scheme is to encourage expatriate Pakistanis to stay connected with their mother land, and foreign nationals to learn about Pakistani culture and society, encourage knowledge-sharing with friendly, countries and to improve relationships with the international community.
For admission under SFS, the students should have physically studied (SSC and HSSC) or Equivalent outside Pakistan with minimum 60% marks in HSSC or its equivalent qualifications after conversion in the form of equivalence certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC) in at least three compulsory subjects including Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics. It is further added that, the students are required to have passed Provincial/Regional admission test or passed SAT-II with minimum 550 marks in each subject i.e. Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Mathematics or foreign MCAT with minimum aggregate score of 24 are eligible to apply for these seats. The last date for online submission of applications is 12 October 2018.
