75th Independence Day Celebrations
A simple and graceful flag-hoisting ceremony was held this morning at the Pakistan High Commission to celebrate the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan. A cross section of the Pakistani community living in Wellington and adjoining cities, attended the event with families.
The High Commissioner welcomed the guests and congratulated them on the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan. He highlighted the significance of the day and recalled the struggle of our forefathers for the creation of Pakistan. He also talked about Government of Pakistan’s commitment to the economic development of Pakistan and towards addressing the current issues like Covid-19 and climate crisis.
The High Commissioner reminded the audience of the just struggle of the people of Illegally Indian Occupied Kashmir and said that the government and people of Pakistan will always support the innocent Kashmiris for their right of self-determination.
