PKNZ Business Connect- Webinar on Trade and Investment

PKNZ Business Connect- webinar on Trade and Investment was held yesterday with participation of businesses from New Zealand and abroad.

The webinar was a follow-up on High Commissioner Murad Ashraf Janjua’s meetings with the business community in NZ. It focused on bilateral trade between Pakistan and NZ with discussion on investment opportunities in Pakistan. Product specific strategies for diversification of imports from Pakistan were also introduced.

Speaking on the occasion, High Commissioner discussed the steps taken by the High Commission to increase trade between the two countries. He was upbeat about the prospects of deeper economic engagement between the two countries.

Consul General of Pakistan to Sydney, Muhammad Ashraf, who is also the Trade Commissioner for New Zealand gave a presentation on the contours of bilateral trade relations. He also presented new avenues of cooperation and gave a briefing on investment opportunities especially in CPEC related projects.

In an hour-long Q&A session, the participants asked questions and some also gave suggestions. The High Commissioner concluded the session by thanking the participants.
