Exhibition: Postcards to the Front–WW-I

PRESS RELEASE

At the invitation of the Water Colour Society of New Zealand and to mark the centenary of the Gallipoli landings during the First World War, the High Commission for Pakistan in Wellington participated in the exhibition “Postcards to the Front – WW1” The exhibition was opened on 17 April, 2015.

On April 23 the Governor General of New Zealand, Lieutenant General the Right Honourable Sir Jerry Mateparae and Lady Janine made a private visit to the exhibition and admired the works of Pakistani as well as New Zealand and other international artists. There were eleven paintings of Pakistani artists at display.
