Flag Hoisting Ceremony
held at the High Commission, Wellington
on 23 March 2013
Pakistan Day on 23rd March was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm in New Zealand. A simple and dignified flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Pakistan High Commission, Wellington. High Commissioner Her Excellency Ms. Zehra Akbari, hoisted the flag. A cross section of Pakistani community living in Wellington and adjoining city of Palmerston North attended the Pakistani Day flag hoisting ceremony.
On this occasion, special messages from the President and the Prime Minister were read out. The High Commissioner highlighted the significance of the day. She felicitated the Pakistani community in New Zealand on Pakistan National Day. The High Commissioner assured full cooperation of the High Commission to the Pakistanis living in New Zealand.
