The New Zealand Parliament has informed that it is running a video competition for children, with the prize of winning a paid trip to Wellington to visit Parliament and the city. This competition is open to students in school-years 5 to 10.
The competition asks students to imagine they are giving a speech to Parliament and to submit a short video of that speech in which they express their opinion on their chosen issue and the action they think Parliament could take to address it.
Entries are accepted in any language and can be made as individuals or groups, with prizes awarded for each category.
Entries close at 5pm on Friday, 7 May.
